what i may have been thinking:
this was created during my charles bukowski discovery days. The quote is from the bartender in the movie "barfly", named jim. he says to bukowski's alterego henry, "some people never go crazy; what truly horrible lives they must live".
jim was the voice of reason.
those "normal" people must be having an aweful time living up to all that sanity stuff.
