who is chuck close?
chuck happens to be my favorite living artist. I will spare you the details of why he's my favorite... just trust me on this one, he is a genuine nyc artistic badass.
actually, I shook his hand once. so, if you were to happen to shake my hand, you could say that you, "shook the hand, that shook the hand of chuck close... the badass artist".
chuck often chose his friends as models and subjects. so my tribute to chuck is to tributize my friends: bob, michael & eddie in his signature geometric/abstract, yet amazingly photo-realistic style.

** I must confess that my art differs from chuck's in relative scale (his work is generally massive), in subject (he most likely wouldn't paint a model
smiling) and in the level of detail (I'm not chuck).
